RETURN MINISTRYThe RETURN ministry currently has 24 people who work and pray for the ‘return’ of those who have left the church.
Using the list of approximately 1,600 inactive parishioners they first try to connect with each of them by phone. If they are unable to reach them by phone a “contact team” will go to their house. With each connection made they give the inactive parishioner an opportunity to talk about themselves and their faith. The callers and contact teams listen, encourage, answer questions, and provide help.
Another important part of the ministry are the members of St. Monica’s Army. Following the example of St. Monica who prayed for her son, St. Augustine, these members are constantly praying for the RETURN ministry and for each of the contacts that have been made. Many of these calls and visits have resulted in parishioners RETURNing to their Catholic Faith. The RETURN Ministry is always looking for more help. -
