Ronald L. DeMase, 79, of Neshannock Township passed away the morning of November 22, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born on September 10, 1942 in New Castle, he was the son of the late James and Anna Retort DeMase. On August 20, 1966, Ron married his beloved wife, the former Palma Fortuna. She survives at home.

Tresa Flamino, 100, of New Castle, passed away the morning of November 21, 2021 at Avalon Nursing Home. Born on February 6, 1921 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Louise Ciarlo Pagani. On September 6, 1941, Tresa married her beloved husband, Roger S. Flamino. He preceded her in death on January 31, 1994.

Joseph J. Budai Jr.,71, of Shenango Township, New Castle, passed away the morning of Nov. 20, 2021, at his residence. Joseph was born March 13, 1950, in New Castle. He was the son of the late Joseph J. and Margaret (Nickum) Budai Sr. He married the former Deborah B. Bock of Pittsburgh in 1972. She survives at their home in New Castle.

Deborah A. Lombardo, 69, of E. Euclid Avenue died Saturday, November 20, 2021, at UPMC Jameson Hospital in New Castle. She was born in New Castle on June 2, 1952, a daughter of the late Louis and Theresa (Davis) Fornataro, Sr. She was married to Charles J. Lombardo, who died July 15, 2014.

Joseph E. Thomas, 80, of Neshannock Township, passed away the morning of November 20, 2021 at UPMC Jameson. Born on May 25, 1941 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Felix and Mary Sarbo Thomas. On August 3, 1974, Joe married his beloved wife, the former Mary Ann Mastroddi. She survives at home.

Pauline A. Lalama, 75, of New Castle passed away the evening of November 15, 2021 at Edison Manor. Born on January 25, 1946 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe J. and Bambina DeChellis Lalama.

Valencia S. Sinibaldi, 86, of Glass Road, New Castle, died Monday, November 15, 2021 at her home in New Castle. She was born February 16, 1935 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Pasquale and Mary (Gierlach) Santangelo. She was married to the late Robert R. Sinibaldi who died March 19, 2007.

John B. Williams, Jr., 79, of New Castle passed away the evening of November 14, 2021 at his residence. Born on April 16, 1942 in New Castle, he was the son of the late John Williams, Sr. and Rena Gaioni Williams. John is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-seven wonderful years, the former Patricia Naples.

George R. Lawrence, 87, passed on to eternal rest on the morning of Sunday, November 7, 2021, surrounded by his devoted wife of 63 years, Joann R. Lawrence, and his loving family, at home in Pulaski Township, Lawrence County, Pa. George was born on August 19, 1934, in the same house he would call home for all his life, a son of Michael and Anna (Gulas) Lawrence.

Erma Marie DiGennaro, 89, of Jackson Avenue died Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Haven Convalescent Home. She was born in New Castle on July 14, 1932, a daughter of the late Michael and Elvira (Ponzi) Moffo.

Marie Anne Smith, 85, of Rose Avenue died Thursday, November 11, 2021 at UPMC Jameson Hospital in New Castle. She was born in New Castle on March 24, 1936, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Vitale) Danish.

Palma “Rita” Casciato Locke, 90, of New Castle passed away the afternoon of November 9, 2021 at Haven Convalescent Home. Born on August 31, 1931 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Palma Calabrese Casciato.

Raymond J. Ippolito Jr., 67, of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of November 7, 2021 at Quality of Life Service of New Castle. He was born on November 28, 1953, a son of Raymond J., Sr. and Mary Jane Sbarro. Raymond married his loving wife of forty-five years, Toni M. Zokle, and they were members of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Mary site.

John B. Rossi, Sr., 82, of West Cherry Street, died Thursday, November 4, 2021 at UPMC Horizon in Farrell, PA. He was born in Ellwood City December 4, 1938, a son of the late James and Philomena (DeMauro) Rossi. He was married to Madeline R. (Mash) Rossi on October 14, 1961, she survives in New Castle.

Zachary Douglas Cindric, 21, of East Lutton Street, died Sunday, November 7, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, OH. He was born in New Castle on June 23, 2000, a son of Ashley E. Jones Budai, step-father, Jason Budai, and Douglas D. Cindric and fiancé Jamie Kennison. Zachary worked as a fork-lift operator for CSI on Wilmington Road. He attended YSU, was a live stream gamer, he enjoyed the outdoors and rap music, and was also a waiter at Starwood restaurant for a number of years. Zachary will be remembered for his dry and witty sense of humor.

Phillip L. Clark, 94, of Union Township, passed away the morning of Nov. 6, 2021, at Rhodes Estates. Phillip was born Sept. 23, 1927, in New Castle, the son of the late Charles W. and Mary (Wanatosky) Clark. He married his beloved wife Pauline (Burgess) Clark on Oct. 19, 1947. She predeceased him in 2012.

Lena Mastrangelo, 104, of New Castle passed away the morning of November 5, 2021 at her residence. Born in Hubbard, Ohio on November 21, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Rose Carranghi Perrotta. On August 1, 1936, Lena married her beloved husband, Frank H. “Cheech” Mastrangelo. He preceded her in death on February 10, 1995.

There are truly diabolical forces assaulting our world and our church. One only has to listen to the evening news to realize the evil that seems to be building on a daily basis in our country and in our world. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ took the devil very seriously. In fact, his life on earth was a tremendous battle between himself and the evil one. We know that He ultimately has won the battle. He has destroyed the power of Satan. But we must embrace Christ and the salvation He offers us. Satan still wages war against us. He is powerful, insidious, and unrelenting. We have to take the devil seriously. He is most powerful when he is denied. This is when the devil dupes us the most.

Mr. Walter Anthony Lenhart, Sr., 83, of Wampum passed away at his home on November 4, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Walter was born on July 20, 1938, in Wampum. He was the son of the late John J. and Sophia (Gumiezny) Lenhart. Walter married the late Anne Marie Cesarini and together celebrated 57 years of marriage.

Leo Francis Golba, 89, passed away the evening of November 3, 2021. He was born January 8, 1932, to Frank and Helen Golba in New Castle, PA.
