I don’t know about you but I am ready to be done with this coronavirus distancing stuff! I imagine that most of you who are reading this are also fed up with our new normal. On this third Sunday of Easter, we are invited to consider how fed up the disciples may have been on the road to Emmaus. It’s not so much the road to Emmaus as it is the road away from Jerusalem! They were fed up; they were discouraged; they were bewildered and they were walking away from Jerusalem. Frances M. Dzemyan, 88, of Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania passed away the morning of April 14, 2020 at UPMC Jameson. Born on September 2, 1931 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late James (Sosto) and Jennie Geraci Medure. On February 14, 1953 Frances married her beloved husband, Steven Robert Dzemyan. He preceded her in death on December 31, 2001.

Stella J. Presnar, 92, formerly of Grandview Avenue, Union Township, passed away the morning of April 12, 2020, at Rhodes Estates. Stella was born on Dec. 12, 1927, in New Castle. She was a daughter of the late Alojzy and Aniela Adamska Wojtowicz. She was married to the late Aloysius (Al) Presnar. He preceded her in death on Aug. 1, 2000. They were married for 51 years.
