Mary L. Storch, 79, of New Castle died the evening of April 21, 2020, at UPMC Jameson Hospital. A private service for immediate family will be held at the Noga Funeral Home, Inc. 1142 S. Mill St., New Castle.
Margie Joan Stachowiak, 86, of New Castle passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, April 21, 2020, in UPMC Jameson Hospital. Mrs. Stachowiak was born December 5, 1933, in New Castle, a daughter of Charles L. St. John, Sr. and Thelma Kennedy St. John.
Stephen Andrew Fenner, 54, of Wilmington Township, Lawrence County, passed away on April 11, 2020, at UPMC Jameson Hospital. Stephen was born in Newport, Rhode Island to Dr. Henry Edgar Fenner and Ruth Ann Elliott Fenner. He married Rosalia Pace on April 26, 2004, in Palermo, Italy, and together have a daughter, Giulia, and two sons, Thomas and Isaac Fenner.
John A. Smialowski Jr., 76, of 357 McCombs Circle passed away the morning of March 3, 2020, at Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver. John was born on May 17, 1943, in New Castle. He was a son of the late John A. and Elizabeth (Lacko) Smialowski Sr. John was married to the former Anna M. Bertone. They were married for 46 years. She preceded him in death on March 2, 2013.

I don’t know about you but I am ready to be done with this coronavirus distancing stuff! I imagine that most of you who are reading this are also fed up with our new normal. On this third Sunday of Easter, we are invited to consider how fed up the disciples may have been on the road to Emmaus. It’s not so much the road to Emmaus as it is the road away from Jerusalem! They were fed up; they were discouraged; they were bewildered and they were walking away from Jerusalem. Their hopes were shattered and they could not understand how good would come from the crucifixion of the one they thought was going to be their Savior and Messiah.
The Food Pantry at St. Joseph site is open every Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm. Non-perishable grocery donations are needed and can be left in the tubs outside the parish offices at St. Vitus site and St. James site.
Edmund S. Lewandowski age 97, of West Mifflin, formerly of Duquesne, died on April 16, 2020 at Locust Grove Personal Care Home. Born May 9, 1922 in Nowa-Wies-Wielka, Poland, he was the son of the late Jozef & Anastazia (Siemiankowska) Lewandowski.

Lebanon, PA, passed away peacefully with his family by his side Monday morning, April 13, 2020, after a valiant and courageous fight with cancer at his residence in Wallingford, PA, where he has lived for the last 25 years. David was born November 2, 1956, in St. Louis, MO, a son of the late Raymond Baum, II and Barbara Jean (Murphy) Baum.
Joseph R. “Randy” Clavelli, 66, of Union Township passed away on April 15, 2020 at the Brighton Rehab Center due to complications of COVID-19. Randy was born in New Castle on August 29, 1953. His mother, Patricia Bellock Clavelli preceded him in death.

Frances M. Dzemyan, 88, of Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania passed away the morning of April 14, 2020 at UPMC Jameson. Born on September 2, 1931 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late James (Sosto) and Jennie Geraci Medure. On February 14, 1953 Frances married her beloved husband, Steven Robert Dzemyan. He preceded her in death on December 31, 2001.
Stella J. Presnar, 92, formerly of Grandview Avenue, Union Township, passed away the morning of April 12, 2020, at Rhodes Estates. Stella was born on Dec. 12, 1927, in New Castle. She was a daughter of the late Alojzy and Aniela Adamska Wojtowicz. She was married to the late Aloysius (Al) Presnar. He preceded her in death on Aug. 1, 2000. They were married for 51 years.
