William ‘Billy’ J. Burns, age 36, of Center Twp., Beaver County, succumbed to the disease of addiction on March 16, 2024. Born June 30, 1987, in New Castle, PA, he was the son of James Robert (Michelle) Burns and Colleen Ann (Bradley) Burns.
Billy was a graduate of Shenango High School. He was employed by Appliance Warehouse, in Pittsburgh, PA, working as a Crew Manager. Billy was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears and Pittsburgh Steelers. He loved playing softball and basketball. Billy followed the tradition of a 12-step program.
Known for his award-winning smile, amazing personality, and incredible work ethic, Billy will always be remembered for so much more than the battles he fought. He loved his family deeply and was a very spiritual man, attending church, regularly.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his fiancé, Natalie Sciaretta; unborn daughter, Cecilia Burns; sisters, Nikki (Burns) Dean of Shenango Twp.; stepbrother, James (Jenna) Gray of Poland, OH; stepsister, Epiphany (Shane) Lehman of Volant, PA; nephew, Lochlan Dean and niece, Neve Dean.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 20th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A Blessing Service, officiated by Fr. Joseph McCaffrey, pastor of Holy Spirit Parish, will be held at the funeral home, on Thursday, March 21st at 11:00 am.
Eternal rest grant unto Billy, O Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
