Mr. Walter Anthony Lenhart, Sr., 83, of Wampum passed away at his home on November 4, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Walter was born on July 20, 1938, in Wampum. He was the son of the late John J. and Sophia (Gumiezny) Lenhart. Walter married the late Anne Marie Cesarini and together celebrated 57 years of marriage.
He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Parish. He graduated from Shenango High School and was a retired steel worker at B&W. Walter enjoyed farming, gardening, history, watching the Steelers and spending time with his family.
Walter is survived by his two daughters; Patricia (William) Crespo of New Castle and Mary Lou (Louis) Bosco of Cranberry Township; two sons, Stephen (Vicki) of Enon Valley and Walter Jr (Susan) of Columbia, TN; six grandchildren, Amy, Michele, Emily, Maria, Teresa, and Michael; and four great grandchildren, Ricky, Logan, Briella and Billie Jean; brothers, John (Marian) Lenhart of Glen Burnie, MD, William Lenhart of Neshannock Township, Richard Lenhart of Canfield, OH, and Robert (Martha) Lenhart of Auburn, IN; sister, Barbara Lenhart of Colorado Springs, CO; and two sisters-in-law, Betty Lenhart and Helen (Mike) Yuricha of Ellport.
He was preceded in death by his wife Anne, his parents, brother James, and three sisters-in law, Mary Lou Corsi, Teresa Bartolomeo, and Fulvia Caimano.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, November 12, 2021 at 11:00 am at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Catholic Church, conducted by Father Brendan Dawson. The family will receive family and friends before and after mass. Burial will take place at Parkside Cemetery and Mausoleum.
