Thomas G. Zets, 77 of New Bedford, Pennsylvania, passed away the evening of Sept. 21, 2021, at home, with his family by his side. Tom was born on March 25, 1944. He is the son of the late Alex G. Zets and Catherine Biros Zets. Tom was married to Margaret McDonald for 58 years, who survives him at home.
Tom was a retired Teamster. He was a passionate outdoorsman and loved fishing on Lake Erie. Tom was a doer, a fixer and master of all things. He loved his family and enjoyed his friends.
In addition to his wife, Tom is survived by his children, Stacy and husband, Alec, Tommy and his wife, Paula, Casey and his wife, Sarah, and his daughters, Sydnee and Barbra Ward; his brother, Don Zets; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Nikki, and grandson, Bryce Allan.
Following his wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends at his residence on Oct. 23, 2021, at 4 p.m. Those attending are encouraged to share memories and or photos of Tom. He is remembered by fellow parishioners of Holy Spirit Parish, St. James site, for his many volunteer services to the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Noga Funeral Home Inc.
Give Tom eternal rest, O Lord, and may your light shine on him forever. Let us find in your Son comfort for our sadness, certainty in our doubt, and courage to live through this hour. Make our faith strong through Christ our Lord. Amen.
