Theodore F. Cicerchi, 92, of New Castle passed away the evening of January 26, 2022 at The Grove at New Castle. Born on July 12, 1929 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Ralph and Erma “Mary” Aquaro Cicerchi. On April 22, 1955, Theodore married his beloved wife of 67 years, the former Janet Hall. She survives at home.
Theodore had worked for Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroad as a Telegraph Operator for forty years, until he retired. He had proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force from 1947 to 1950 and was discharged as a Sergeant. Theodore was an avid collector of old records, and crank up phonographs. He also enjoyed working on and repairing clocks and the phonographs . A loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather his greatest joy was the time he spent with his family.
In addition to his wife, Theodore is survived by his children and their spouses, Linda Cicerchi (Ginny) of Macedonia, OH and Paul Cicerchi (Angela) of New Castle, two aunts, Madeline Gagliano of Hillsville, PA and Marianna Cicerchi of Denver, CO, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Theodore was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph R. Cicerchi.
Honoring his wishes there are no services. Burial will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 South Mill St.
Eternal rest grant unto Theodore, O Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
