Sylvester “Butchy” Ambrosini, 62, of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of May 4, 2021 at his residence. Born on August 19, 1958 in Youngstown, OH, he was the son of the late Nicholas F. Ambrosini, Sr. His mother, Caroline Izzo Ambrosini survives at home.
Butchy had worked as a registered nurse for various UPMC Hospitals until he retired. Upon retirement, he became the primary care giver for his mother. Butchy was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Joseph the Worker Site. He enjoyed the outdoors, going fishing and golfing. He was an avid sports fan. A loving son, brother and uncle, Butchy’s greatest joy was the time he spent with family and neighbors, and especially his nieces and nephews.
In addition to his mother, Butchy is survived by two brothers, Nicholas F. Ambrosini, Jr. and Joe Ambrosini (Amy), three sisters, Gina Curry (Levis), Phyllis Lamb (Randy), Carol Wesner (Ken), several nieces and nephews and one great-nephew.
In addition to his father, Butchy was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Ambrosini.
A Private Blessing Service will be held at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 South Mill St. Father Anthony Sciarappa of Holy Spirit Parish will officiate. Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
