Stella T. Pfeiffer, 95, of 456 Brewster Road, New Castle passed away the evening of Dec. 11, 2020, at Masternik Memorial Health Care in New Middletown, Ohio. Stella was born July 28, 1925, in New Castle. She was the daughter of the late Steve and Anna (Bober) Zepka. Stella was married to the late Joseph H. Pfeiffer. He preceded her in death on Feb. 4, 2005. They were married for 57 years.
Mrs. Pfeiffer was Roman Catholic and attended Holy Spirit Parish, Mary, Mother of Hope Church. Mrs. Pfeiffer worked as a decorator at the former Shenango Pottery company. She also worked for several years at the Curtis Wright Corporation in Beaver County, working on aircraft propellers during World War II.
Mrs. Pfeiffer enjoyed cooking for her family. Stella loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much. She loved her animals very much and was a lifelong supporter of the Humane Society.
Mrs. Pfeiffer is survived by her son, Joseph E. (Gloria) Pfeiffer of New Castle; two grandchildren, Jaclyn (Kelly) Pfeiffer of Oviedo, Florida, and Joanna Pfeiffer of Los Angeles, California; and two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Ella.
In addition to her parents and husband Joseph, Stella was preceded in death by her brother, Walter Zepka; and two sisters, Nellie English and Charlotte Mrozek.
Private visitation for immediate family will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Monday, Dec. 21, 2020, at the Noga Funeral Home Inc. 1142 S. Mill St. New Castle, PA. A blessing service will immediately follow visitation in the funeral home. Deacon John Carran of Holy Spirit Parish will officiate. Burial will be in SS. Philip and James Cemetery.
Lord God, you are attentive to the voice of our pleading. Give Stella eternal rest, O Lord, and may your light shine on her forever. Let us find in your Son comfort in our sadness, certainty in our doubt, and courage to live through this hour. Make our faith strong through Christ our Lord. Amen.
