Shirley Angela Jannetti, 85, of Shenango Stop Road in Shenango Twp., died Monday, June 26, 2023 at UPMC Jameson Care Center. She was born in New Castle on March 15, 1938, a daughter of the late Alfonso and Nicoletta (Conti) Jannetti.
Shirley was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Joseph the Worker site. She prayed to St. Jude and was a strong believer in him. She was the co-owner and operator of NC Trophy and Award Center with her daughter. She enjoyed gambling, shopping, and the Pirates. She loved to cook and feed her family, and making to-go packages for them, but above all she loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by three children, Robert W. Nestorek, Jr., wife,Tracy, and their children and families; Sondra M. Keith and husband, Mark, and their children and families; and Brenda L. DelPrincipe and husband, Gregg; two sisters, Norma Langiotti and Louise Galmarini, and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Frank ‘Buster’ Jannetti, and three sisters, Evelyn Smith, Virginia Malandro, and Dolores Fiello.
Private visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. The Blessing Service will be officiated by Fr. Aaron Kriss of Holy Spirit Parish. Burial will be in Parkside Cemetery.
Eternal rest grant unto Shirley, O Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
