Catechetical Sunday heralds Red Envelope Drive

On September 18th & 19th, Catechetical Sunday Weekend (when our religious educational program begins for our children), you will find 150 Red Envelopes on tables in the back of our churches. The Red Envelope is a simple fundraiser for our Faith Formation Program. Money placed in these envelopes will be used for our First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, Confirmation, High School Retreats, and Youth Ministry—as well as social events related to our Faith Formation Programs for parents, teens and our children, such as Movie Nights.
To support our program, please insert an amount of money
corresponding to the number on the envelope. For example, if you pick #63, then put $63 in the envelope. Envelopes can be put in the collection basket, dropped off or mailed in to the parish office at 910 S. Mercer St., New castle, PA 16101. [Checks can be written out to Holy Spirit Parish and on the memo line just note: Red Envelope. If you would like this donation included in your tax statement, please include your name and address or your envelope number.]
