I hope to see you all at our Parish Picnic this Sunday! Let us celebrate all the blessings God has bestowed
on us and this parish!
Speaking of blessings, Dan Roberts is checking in this week. Check out his message below.
Hello to my Holy Spirit Parish family! I just wanted to drop a line and let you all know what I've been up to in my seminary formation.
I am now all moved in at Theological College (at Catholic University of America) in Washington D.C., where I've returned for my third year of Theology! So far, I've been helping with orientation for the new seminarians (who come from various places across the country, and internationally), and I've started classes. This semester, my studies include Canon Law,
Christology, Sacraments of Initiation, and Liturgical Ministry of the Deacon. These are meant to prepare me for, God willing, ordination as a transitional deacon next spring... one more step on the journey!
I will also be assigned part-time to a parish in the area.... but I already miss the full-time parish life with all of you! I look forward to seeing you again. For now, though, I'm reconnecting with seminary friends and mentors, and I'm keeping you all in my prayers.
I've included a couple of pictures—one in my seminary room, and the other taken from the front of Theological College and the new National Life Monument, which figuratively depicts our Blessed Mother Mary and the baby Jesus in the womb.
Here is my address:

May God bless and keep you all, and may we meet in the Eucharist!

Thanks, Dan, for keeping us up to date!
