Rose Temperato, 95, of New Castle, passed away the morning of May 20, 2021 at her daughter’s residence. Born on October 3, 1925 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Carmen and Dorothy Mitlo Stone. On October 25, 1947, Rose married her beloved husband, Joseph L. (Tempy) Temperato. He preceded her in death on January 25, 1991.
Rose had worked at Starwood Restaurant. She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Site. Rose enjoyed cooking and baking. She took great pride in taking care of her home until she was ninety. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Rose’s greatest joy was the time she spent with her family.
Rose is survived by her children, Cathy Temperato and her husband, Ron Carnevale, of New Castle, Larry Temperato, North Wales, Pa., Gary Temperato and his wife, Judy, and Joseph Temperato all of New Castle, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Rose was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Stone and three sisters, Laura Mooney, Lucille Cepro and Ann Miller.
A Private Blessing Service for the family will be held at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 South Mill St. Deacon John Carran of Holy Spirit Parish will officiate. Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
Give Rose eternal rest, O Lord, and may your light shine on her forever. Let us find in your Son comfort in our sadness, certainty in our doubt, and courage to live through this hour. Make our faith strong through Christ our Lord. Amen.
