Rose Marie Kwolek passed away peacefully on June 18, 2021, at the age of 92. She was born on Feb. 28, 1929, to the late Dominic and Mary (Robb) Polis. She married her beloved and wonderful husband, Peter T. Kwolek, on June 11, 1955. Peter passed away on June 12, 2007, after 52 years of a wonderful marriage.
Rose was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Joseph's site, where she was a member of the Mary Martha Guild and served as president for two years. She graduated from Bessemer High School in 1946. Following graduation she worked at Perelman's Jewelry, Lawrence County Court House and retired from West Star Electronics. Her favorite pastime was being with her family and grandchildren, and dancing with her husband on weekends.
Rose is survived by her daughters, Deborah (Tom) Show of New Castle and Diane (Stephen) Boudreau of The Colony, Texas; two brothers, Bill (Peg) Polis of Struthers, Ohio, and Dick Pugliese of Las Vegas, Nevada; sister, Mary Jane Moore of Springfield, Missouri; three grandchildren, Kevin (fiancee, Katie) Show, Bryan (Jen) Show and Cameron Boudreau; and one great-grandson, Jaxon Show. In addition to her parents and husband, Rose was preceded in death by three sisters, and Katherine Carbon, Ann Johngrass and Betty Hatala; three brothers, Joe Polis, Patsy Polis and Frank Polis.
Calling hours will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 21, 2021, at the Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 S. Mill St., New Castle. A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:39 a.m. on Tuesday for Holy Spirit Parish, St. Camillus site, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. The Rev. Phillip Farrell will officiate the service and committal. Burial will be in Madonna Cemetery.
