Rose Marie Bullano, 91, of New Castle, passed away the morning of February 28, 2022 at Rhodes Estates. She was born on December 1. 1930 in New Castle to the late Augustine D. and Christy R. Biondi Bullano.
Rose graduated from Carlow University and Youngstown State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She also earned a Masters’ Degree in Reading Specialization from Westminster College.
Early in her teaching career, Rose had taught at St. Vitus School. She then taught in the New Castle Area School District and as a reading teacher in the Neshannock School District. Rose retired after a thirty-two year career in education.
Rose was an active member of Holy Spirt Parish, St. Vitus site where she had served as a Eucharistic Minister and church historian. She also served on the Parish Council Worship Committee and played the church organ for many years.
Rose was a lifetime member of the Neshannock Education Association (N.E.A.), P.S.E.A, AARP and also a long- time member of the Catholic Daughters of America. More recently, Rose enjoyed playing the piano every day for her fellow residents at Rhodes Estates where she resided.
Rose is survived by her numerous loving cousins who she loved spending time with throughout her long lifetime.
Visitation will be Thursday 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 S. Mill St. A procession will leave the funeral home on Thursday at 12:45 p.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 pm at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church. Father Brendan Dawson will officiate. Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.

Eternal rest grant unto Rose Marie, O Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
