Ronald D. Trott, 78, of New Castle passed away the evening of April 23, 2021 at his daughter’s residence. Born on October 31, 1942 in Sharon, PA, he was the son of the late Frank and Elsie Ragnellie Trott. Ron was married to his beloved wife, the former Josephine E. Funera. She preceded him in death on December 15, 2009.
Ron had worked for the City of New Castle. He had proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army.Ron was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vincent de Paul site. Ron was an avid Cleveland sports fan. He enjoyed being outdoors and gardening. He also enjoyed buying his lottery tickets. A loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Ron’s greatest joy was the time he spent with his family.
Ron is survived by his two daughters, Camile Tarasyuk (Erwin) and Ronda Trott, both of New Castle, two brothers, Gerald Trott (Lynn) of New Castle and Jack Trott (Judy) of Clark, PA, two sisters, Terry McConahy (Edward) of Atlanta, GA and Toni Colledge of New Castle, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, Ron was preceded in death by his son, Frank J. Trott and his infant sister, Lisa Diane.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 South Mill St. Visitors are required to adhere to CDC guidelines regarding the wearing of face masks and practicing social distancing.
A Blessing service will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Deacon John Carran of Holy Spirit Parish will officiate. Burial will be in St. Lucy Cemetery.
