Pelagia A. Fabich, 93, of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of Nov. 2, 2020, at Quality of Life Services. Pelagia was born on March 2, 1927, in Chewton. She was the daughter of the late John and Agnes (Olzak) Woloszyn. She was married to the late Philip James Fabich. He preceded her in death on Jan. 3, 1996. They were married for 49 years.
Mrs. Fabich was Roman Catholic faith and attended Holy Spirit Parish, St. Joseph site. Pelagia will be remembered by her family as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She enjoyed cooking and baking. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pelagia is survived by four children, Patricia (Francis) Manfredi, Philip Michael (Melinda) Fabich, Thomas Wayne (Cindy) Fabich and James Maurice (Sindey) Fabich, all of New Castle; many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and a couple of great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Philip, Pelagia was preceded in death by her son, Steven F. Fabich; two sisters, Mary Genareo and Margaret Fabich; and three brothers, John Woloszyn, Joe Woloszyn and Andrew Woloszyn.
Private services were held for immediate family at the Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 Mill St. A Blessing service was celebrated at the funeral home. Deacon Dan Kielar of Holy Spirit Parish officiated. Entombment was in St. Mary's Mausoleum.
Lord God, you are attentive to the voice of our pleading. Give Joe eternal rest, O Lord, and may your light shine on him forever. Let us find in your Son comfort in our sadness, certainty in our doubt, and courage to live through this hour. Make our faith strong through Christ our Lord. Amen.
