Pauline A. Lalama, 75, of New Castle passed away the evening of November 15, 2021 at Edison Manor. Born on January 25, 1946 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe J. and Bambina DeChellis Lalama.
For twenty-three years, Pauline worked as a bookkeeper for G.C. Murphy Co. She then worked as a clerk for Treasure Island for fourteen years until she retired. She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vincent de Paul site. Pauline enjoyed reading and visiting casinos. Her greatest joy in life was the time she spent with her family, especially her nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Pauline is survived by her brother, Peter J. Lalama (Josephine) and three sisters, Mary R. Lalama, Louise L. Hiler, and Elvera M. Henderson all of New Castle and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by three sisters, Emma Sidorchuk, Amelia Vasilycsik, infant sister, Mary M. Lalama, three brothers, her twin, Paul J. Lalama, Edward C. Lalama, and John J. Lalama, brothers-in-law, Harry Hiler, Don Henderson, Mike Vasilycsik, and Steve Sidorchuk and two nephews, Harry Hiler and Leonard Sidorchuk.
Visitation will be on Thursday 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 South Mill St. A procession will leave the funeral home on Thursday at 11:45 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church. Father Benjamin Barr will officiate. Burial will be in St. Lucy Cemetery.
