Patrick J. Copple, Sr., 72, of Neshannock Township passed away the morning of January 10, 2022 at the Haven Convalescent Home. Born on March 17, 1949 in New Castle, Pat was the son of the late Frank R. Copple, Sr. and Ann E. Perrotta Copple. He is survived by his wife, the former Bonnie L. Freed, who he married on October 17, 1970.
A successful businessman and entrepreneur, Pat had owned and operated several local companies over the years. He was a devoted life-time member and adult server of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church.
Pat enjoyed the outdoors, walking and going boating. A loving father and grandfather Pat’s greatest joy was the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Pat is survived by his children, P.J. Copple (Tara), and Trisha Bonner all of New Castle, his brother, Frank R. Copple, Jr. (Joanna) of Palm Beach, FL, his sister, Mary Ann Tofel (Robert Farris) of New Castle, six grandchildren, Kacey Copple, Patrick Copple, Camryn Copple, Michael Bonner, Anthony Bonner and Sophia Bonner, and his friend Mary Ann Vallecorsa.
In addition to his parents, Pat was preceded in death by his brother, Salvatore Copple.
A Private Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Fr. Rick Thompson will be held at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church. Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made in Pat’s name to St. Vitus Church of Holy Spirit Parish, 910 South Mercer St., New Castle, Pa. 16101. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 S. Mill St.
Eternal rest grant unto Pat, O Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
