Patricia A. Rossi, 84, of New Castle passed away the morning of Nov. 16, 2022, at her residence. Born on March 27, 1938, in New Castle, Patty was the daughter of the late Walter and Nellie Krupa Wacikowski. On Sept. 10, 1960, Patty married her beloved husband, John W. Rossi. He preceded her in death on May 21, 2002.
Patricia was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus site. Patty was an avid football fan watching games on television. She also enjoyed visiting casinos, playing cards and listening to music. A loving mother, and grandmother Patty's greatest joy was spending time with her family and especially attending all of her grandchildren's activities and sporting events.
Patty is survived by her four children, Janine Bennett (Doug), Joni DeLuca (Frank), John Rossi (Deanna) and James Rossi (Sybil), all of New Castle; her sister, Freda Hoover of Atlanta, Georgia; and her eight grandchildren, Dougie, Brandon, Jenna, Maria, Frankie, Gianna, Rocco and Melina.
In addition to her parents and husband, Patty was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Maxwell Wacikowski; and four sisters, Clara Kobalka, Dolly Barlett, Alice Sniezek and Helen Davis.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Mill St. A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday for a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated by Rev. Father Aaron Kriss at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church. Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
Eternal rest grant unto Patty, O Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
