Pasqualina “Patsy” M. Caimona, 83 of New Castle passed away the morning of November 5, 2020 at UPMC Jameson. Born on January 11, 1937 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Joseph M. (Flash) Audia, Sr. and Theresa Vitelli Audia. On May 25, 1957, Patsy married her beloved husband, Joseph R. Caimona, Sr. He preceded her in death on August 4, 1990.
In the early years Patsy had worked for Johnson Bronze. She then worked at the Lawrence County Courthouse as a paralegal. Patsy retired from the State of Pennsylvania as a clerk with the job center. She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Site. Patsy enjoyed reading, cooking, watching foreign films and listening to classical music. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother her greatest joy was the time she spent with her family.
Patsy is survived by her children, Vincent Caimona (Cynthia) of Las Vegas, NV, Theresa Smith (Donald) of New Castle, JR Caimona (Carmalynn) of Youngstown, OH, Dominick Caimona, Sr. (Marcie) of New Castle, and Michael Caimona (Mary Beth) of Bowie, MD, four brothers, Joseph Audia, Jr. (Betty), Raymond Audia (Karen), David Audia (Teresa), and Terrence Sands (Christy), two sisters, Joanna Ross (John), Mary Jo Hare (Randy), eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Patsy was preceded in death by three brothers, Francis, Jerome and Anthony Audia, and her granddaughter, Taylor McCrystal.
A Private Visitation for the family will be at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 South Mill St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church. Father Brendan Dawson will officiate. Burial will be in St Vitus Cemetery.
Lord God, you are attentive to the voice of our pleading. Give Patsy eternal rest, O Lord, and may your light shine on her forever. Let us find in your Son comfort in our sadness, certainty in our doubt, and courage to live through this hour. Make our faith strong through Christ our Lord. Amen.
