Olga T. Pisciuneri, 98, formerly of Hillsville passed away the morning of September 29, 2021 at the Haven Convalescent Home. Olga was born on July 5, 1923 in Ford City, PA, the daughter of the late Antonio and Josephine Briglia Lorello. She married her husband, Ralph A. Pisciuneri on October 22, 1955 and they shared 50 wonderful years together. He preceded her in death on January 20, 2006.
Olga had been a former member of Christ the King Parish (St. Lawrence Church). She was also a member of the Christian Mothers of the Church where she had baked Easter Bread and was involved in many of the church festivals over the years.
Olga was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved doing things for her family, and cherished the times spent with all of them, especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She especially enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. She passed time crocheting, working word hunt puzzles, watching game shows, along with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Golf.
Olga is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann (Richard) Young; her son, Ralph A. Pisciuneri, Jr. (Patty); four granddaughters, Shannon Young, Kylee (Mike) Romeo, Gabriella and Giovanna Pisciuneri; three great-grandchildren, Michael, Frankie and Mina Romeo, and baby Maria on the way; her sister-in-law, Christine Lorello and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Olga was preceded in death by three sisters, Martha Lorello, Matilda Lorello and Florence Penwell, three brothers, Frank, Dominic and Constantine Lorello.
Respecting Olga’s wishes there were no calling hours. A private Mass of Christian Burial was held for the family at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church with Father Brendan Dawson officiating. Burial was in St. Anthony Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 South Mill St.
