Cooperation, sharing, seeing a need, responding. Over the past few months, we have had so many volunteers helping at the food pantry—some of them are our teens getting service hours, others just want to help when they can and some come week in and week out—it’s all such a blessing.
We have also had partners who have worked with us and have helped. For 13 weeks, Monteverde, a produce distributer, shared produce through their USDA grant, more recently Jubilee Ministries received a large USDA grant and they shared food with us through the months of October and November, LCCAP has provided dairy products and, in a truly amazing way, you, our parishioners, have consistently given of your treasure by monetary contributions and food donations.
In many ways the COVID-19 Virus has disrupted our lives, but in this case, it proved to be an avenue of grace through so many people working together to help those in need.
If you did not know, we also have a clothes table at the food pantry and small appliances for people to take. If you would like to give something away that is in relatively good shape and clean, you can leave it at the food pantry on Saturday mornings between 9:00 and 10:00 am. Blessings!
