Nancy Albertini, 63, of New Castle was called home the morning of February 11, 1023 after an extended illness. Born on December 31, 1959 in New Castle, she was the oldest daughter of the late John “Bud” and Grace Nimmo. Mrs. Albertini married the love of her life and best friend of 38 years, Pete Albertini on September 22, 1984. He survives at home.
Nancy graduated from Lawrence County Vo-Tech in 1978 with a certificate in data processing. She was a homemaker and most recently worked as a packer for Con Yeager Spice Company in Zelienople, PA. Nancy was a selfless person and always thought of others first. She enjoyed spending time at home with her husband and their two dogs, Buffy and Molly. She also enjoyed feeding the birds, listening to music, reminiscing of old times and was never able to find a crossword puzzle she couldn’t complete. Most of all, Nancy loved her family and spending time with them.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sisters, Beth Horrell (Ron) of New Castle, Tann Leasure (Rich) of Titusville, one aunt, Helen Bobic of New Castle, six nephews, four nieces, two great nieces, one great nephew and many cousins and friends who were like family.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Mary Caughey and her mother-in-law, Elaine and father-in-law, Peter Albertini.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 S. Mill St. A Blessing Service will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. Father Benjamin Barr of Holy Spirit Parish will officiate.
Eternal rest grant unto Nancy, O Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
