Mary Louise McDougal, 77, passed away November 26, 2022 at Hospice of the Valley in Boardman, Ohio. Born on February 10, 1945 in New Castle, Mary Lou was the daughter of the late Joseph and Loretta (Leonelli) Dostilio.
Mary Lou worked at the New Castle Public Library in their Gift Shop. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. A loving mother and friend, Mary Lou’s greatest joy was the time she spent with her family and friends. She will be missed by many.
Mary Lou is survived by her son, Jason McDougal (Jada), her brother, Joseph Dostilio and her nieces and nephews, Lorrie Gibson, Joseph Dostilio, Charles Dostilio and their spouses and children.
Visitation will be on Tuesday 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 S. Mill St. A procession will leave the funeral home on Wednesday at 1:15 p.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 p.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church. Father Benjamin Barr will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Eternal rest grant unto Mary Lou, O Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
