Mary Beth Weatherby, 64, of New Castle, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024, in UPMC Jameson Hospital. Mary Beth was born on May 2, 1959, in New Castle, a daughter of Robert and Mary (Stroebel) Senko.
She was a 1977 graduate of New Castle High School, where she was a proud Candy Cane and member of the Drill Team. Mary Beth was a member of the Holy Spirit Parish, St. Joseph the Worker worship site. She was employed in the dietary department of the former St. Francis Hospital in New Castle. Mary Beth had a deep love for pets and caring for them. Since 2006, she lived at the Caritas House and worked at their dog kennel. Mary Beth considered the other residents at the Caritas House as her family.
She enjoyed eating at Pagley’s, New Castle, the holidays, and music, singing and dancing. Above all, Mary Beth cherished time with her family, especially her daughter, grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her daughter, Jamie Cavaricci, Carrollton, OH; two grandchildren, Aliyah and Landon Jenkins; her mother, Mary Senko, New Castle; two sisters, Deborah Senko, Carrollton, and Melissa Merkel and her husband, Peter, Shenango Twp.; two brothers, Robert Senko and his wife, Sandi, and Steven Senko and his significant other, Beth, all of New Castle; six nieces and nephews, Zachary, Jacob, Grace, Robert, Steven and Justin; and a great-nephew, Braden.
Mary Beth was preceded in death by her father.
The funeral service will be at 4:00 p.m. Friday (02/09/2024) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, 111 W. Falls St., New Castle, with Rev. Aaron Kriss of Holy Spirit Parish officiating. Calling hours will immediately follow from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, in the funeral home.
Eternal rest grant unto Mary Beth, O Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
