Marilyn R. Pugliese, 76, of Paul Street, formerly of Old Butler Road passed away the evening of January 28, 2022 in the Haven Convalescent Home. She was born in New York on March 11, 1945, the daughter of the late Phyllis Rita Vitto Pugliese and Michael Pugliese.
In her early years, she worked as a secretary for local businesses and was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Joseph the Worker site. She enjoyed shopping on QVC for many years buying clothes and jewelry. She always had on her fluffy socks, chewed her favorite gum, and was covered in a warm blanket. Every week her hair was done and her nails polished.
In her younger days, Marilyn loved to listen to music and enjoyed going out dancing. Due to failing health over the years, she could no longer dance the way she loved but the minute music was played you were sure to see her moving that shoulder. Throughout the years she continued to smile and fought to stay healthy, but the Lord was ready to welcome her home into heaven. She is reunited with her mother and family members who have gone before her and now she can dance again.
She is survived by her family; cousins, Charmaine Rapko of New Castle, Carmie Signoriello and husband, Jim, and daughter, Sophia of Zelienople, Raymond Rapko and wife, Jennifer, Thomasina Macom and husband, Jim, and daughter, Mackenzie, all of New Castle, Frank Vitto and wife, Illa, and children, Danielle and Elisha of Hubbard, OH and many other cousins.
She is also survived by her Haven Convalescent Home family who genuinely loved her as family for many years. A special thank you to the Tanner family, her doctors, nurses, aides and all of the staff for the wonderful constant loving care she always received. Marilyn will truly be missed by those who knew and loved her.
In addition to her mother and her father, Marilyn was preceded in death by several aunts and uncles including her Aunt Marian Vitto who loved and cared for her for many years.
A private visitation will be held at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 941 S. Mill Street followed by a private Blessing Service conducted by Deacon John Carran of Holy Spirit Parish. Entombment will be in Parkside Cemetery Mausoleum.
Eternal rest grant unto Marilyn, O Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
