Thank you to Fr. Brendan Dawson, Cathy Frank and the entire RCIA team for their devoted service to our Catechumens and Candidates seeking the Easter sacraments. This past Sunday, Bishop Zubik welcomed 2 of our Catechumens, Marcy Duddy and Joel Mekler, at St. Paul Cathedral in the Rite of Election. We are very blessed to have 6 Catechumens altogether: Vanessa Booher, Marcy Duddy, Price Gipe, Mariah Gipe, Amanda Madden and Joel Mekler, who will be baptized at the Easter Vigil before receiving 1st Communion and Confirmation. We also welcome our 6 Candidates, Melissa Cassidy, Lonnie Cialella, Heavenly Clark, Emily Gipe, Doug Hill and Randi Jo Woloszyn. A Candidate is one who has already received baptism in a non-Catholic Christian denomination. It is a valid baptism. Now they desire to be received into our Catholic faith. At the Easter Vigil, they will be received into the Church and receive the sacraments of Confirmation and Holy Communion. Please keep our Catechumens and Candidates in your prayers as they prepare to receive the Easter sacraments on Holy Saturday at the Easter Vigil, April 16th, 8:30 pmin St. Vitus Church. Our Easter Schedule is in the picture in the top right hand corner of this page. Also, the R.C.I.A. team is asking all parishioners to participate in a Card Shower for the RCIA Catechumens and Candidates. See Page 13 of today’s bulletin for details.
