Lloyd C Trover Jr, 75, of New Castle passed away the morning of January 30, 2023 at UPMC Jameson Hospital. Born on March 5, 1947 in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Lloyd was the son of the late Lloyd C Trover Sr. and Lila Heims Trover. Lloyd married the love of his life, Patricia Donofrio, on July 2,1966. She survives in New Castle.
Lloyd was a proud Veteran of the United States Army and had been a full time member of the National Guard 229th Field Artillery Unit. Lloyd worked as a pipe inspector at Youngstown Sheet and Tube LTV for many years. He was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St Vitus site. He enjoyed bowling, golfing in different leagues, fishing and visiting casinos. His favorite pastime was spending time with his loving family.
Lloyd is survived by his wife Patricia, sons Michael Trover (Tiffany) of New Castle and John Trover of Los Angeles, California. He also leaves behind a sister, Lila Ann Tatton (Dan) of New Castle; three grandchildren, Brandon, John and Amber, and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Thursday 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory 941 S Mill St. A Blessing Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home following visiting hours. Father Benjamin Barr of Holy Spirit Parish will officiate. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will conduct full military rites at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Parkside Mausoleum.
Eternal rest grant unto Lloyd, O Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
