Linda J. Nero

December 31, 1942 to July 1, 2020

Linda J. Nero, 77, of New Castle passed away the morning of July 1, 2020 at her residence. She was surrounded by her two loving daughters as her as her lengthy battle with cancer came to an end. Born on December 31, 1942 in New Castle, Linda was the daughter of the late Frank and Clara Farbo Padula. On September 28, 1963, Linda married her beloved husband, Alfonso R. Nero. He preceded her in death on January 1, 1990.

Linda was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Site. Linda’s family meant everything to her. A loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother her greatest joy was the time she spent with each of them.

Linda is survived by her daughters, Marci Harding and her husband, Scott, Pam Nero all of New Castle, her sister, Lorraine Colella and her husband, Leonard, of New Castle, her grandson, Matthew Harding and her niece, Renee Caravaggio and her husband Marc.

Visitation will be on Friday 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 South Mill St. Visitors are asked to adhere to CDC guide lines regarding wearing face masks and practicing social distancing. A private Blessing Service will be held for the family. Deacon Dan Kielar of Holy Spirit Parish will officiate. Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery. 

  Lord God, you are attentive to the voice of our pleading. Give Linda eternal rest, O Lord, and may your light shine on her forever. Let us find in your Son comfort in our sadness, certainty in our doubt, and courage to live through this hour. Make our faith strong through Christ our Lord.  Amen.
