Lee M. Vernino, Jr., 58, of New Castle passed away the morning of December 16, 2021 at UPMC Jameson. Born on May 20, 1963 in New Castle, Lee was the son of the late Lee M. Vernino, Sr. and Lillian M. (Hardsock) Vernino.
Lee worked as a Pressman for Select Industries. Lee was an avid Arizona Cardinals fan. He enjoyed playing cards and hanging out at the Slovak Club and Turf Bar with his friends. A loving father, Lee’s greatest joy was talking and spending time with his daughter, Nina.
In addition to his daughter, Nina Vernino and her grandparents, Joe and Marlene DiThomas and her uncle, Anthony "Hooker" DiThomas, Lee is survived by his sisters, Gina Vernino (Michael) and Lisa Vernino.
In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in death by his half- brother, Ross Bricker.
Visitation will be on Wednesday 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 South Mill St. A Blessing Service will be held on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Deacon John Carran of Holy Spirit Parish will officiate. Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
Eternal rest grant unto Lee, O Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
