Josephine Lubensky, 97, passed away at 9:34 a.m. March 23, 2023, at Hubbard Hill Community in Elkhart, Indiana. She was born Nov. 27, 1925, in Owego, New York, to Joseph and Catherine (Yurish) Jastremsky. Josephine moved to New Castle after she married Stanley Lubensky. They were married 66 years before his passing in 2016.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her nine siblings.
Surviving family members include three children, Mark (Jane) Bens of North Carolina; Philip (Jodi) Lubensky of South Bend, Indiana; and Teresa Lubensky of Wiley, Texas.
Family and friends are welcome to join us for an intimate graveside service at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 15, at Madonna Cemetery in New Castle. Fr. Aaron Kriss of Holy Spirit Parish will officiate the service. Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements. Catholic Parish Cemeteries Association also helped with arrangements.
Eternal rest grant unto Josephine, O Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
