Josephine L. Lobazo, 96, of Neshannock Township passed away the morning of Oct. 12, 2022, at UPMC Avalon Nursing Home. Josephine was born on March 19, 1926, in Plain Grove Township. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Hynal) Rzicznek. She was married to the late Harry P. Lobazo. He preceded her in death on Oct. 26, 2005. They were married for 59 years.
Josephine was of the Roman Catholic faith and attended Holy Spirit Parish, St. Camillus De Lellis site. Mrs. Lobazo retired after seven years of service as a sales clerk at the former Nolan's Department Store. Josephine was a member of the Polish Falcons, nest 146. She enjoyed watching baseball, going fishing, playing cards and bowling.
Mrs. Lobazo is survived by her daughter, Joanne (Richard) Watkins of New Castle; three grandchildren, Dr. Richard (Dr. Tracy Lemonovich) Watkins of Akron, Ohio; Lynne (Robin) Weber of Imperial, Pennsylvania; and Melanie (Robert) Clark of South Carolina; and four great-grandchildren, Savannah and Isaac Watkins, Ethan Clark and George Weber.
In addition to her parents and husband, Harry, Josephine was preceded in death by her daughter, Diana Lobazo; five brothers, Alex, Jack, John, Pete, and Walter Rzicznek; and sisters, Stella Dudek and Mary Smith.
Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022, at the Noga Funeral Home, 1142 Mill St., New Castle. A Blessing Service will immediately follow the visitation. Rev. Joseph McCaffrey, Pastor of Holy Spirit Parish, will officiate. Burial will be in Madonna Cemetery.
Eternal rest grant unto Josephine, O Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
