Joseph S. DeRicco, 59, of New Castle passed away the afternoon of July 1, 2021 at UPMC Jameson. Joe was born in New Castle on November 4, 1961. He was married for twenty-five years to his beloved wife, the former Rae Lynn Kloss who survives at home.
Joe was a 1980 graduate of Lawrence County Vo-Tech. He had worked as an appliance repairman. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army.
He is survived by his father, Joseph J. DeRicco and his companion, Joyce Pastore of New Castle, and his mother, Donna Lou Hunt Lemieux and her husband, Victor of New York. In addition to his parents and wife, Joe is survived by two brothers, Mark DeRicco (Brenda) and Randy DeRicco (Paula) and one sister, Lorie Healy (Mark).
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 S. Mill St., where a Private Blessing Service officiated by Deacon John Carran of Holy Spirit Parish will be held for the family.
Give Joe eternal rest, O Lord, and may your light shine on him forever. Let us find in your Son comfort for our sadness, certainty in our doubt, and courage to live through this hour. Make our faith strong through Christ our Lord. Amen.
