John G. Pacai, 103, of West Pittsburg passed away Jan. 10, 2021. John was born Nov. 6, 1917, in Mala Ida, Czechoslovakia, to the late John and Barbara (Seman) Pacai.
John was a member of Holy Spirit Parish. Mr. Pacai retired from Ellwood Tube, a division of US Steel. John also supported a diversity of charities.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Bill Pacai; four sisters, Justine Svabik, Barbara Petreck, Martha Rush and Bernice Schweikert; two nieces, Veronica Svabik and Ondrea Liff; and two nephews, Tom Petreck and Gene Rush.
He is survived by many loving nieces and nephews. After his father's death, John devoted his life to supporting and helping raise his siblings. John's devotion continued to his nieces, nephews and their children.
Our beloved Uncle John’s kindness and humor will live on in our memories and he will be dearly missed.
A graveside service, officiated by Seminarian Merv Knieriem of Holy Spirit Parish, will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at St. Joseph Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Noga Funeral Home.
Lord God, you are attentive to the voice of our pleading. Give John eternal rest, O Lord, and may your light shine on him forever. Let us find in your Son comfort in our sadness, certainty in our doubt, and courage to live through this hour. Make our faith strong through Christ our Lord. Amen.
