John B. Williams, Jr., 79, of New Castle passed away the evening of November 14, 2021 at his residence. Born on April 16, 1942 in New Castle, he was the son of the late John Williams, Sr. and Rena Gaioni Williams. John is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-seven wonderful years, the former Patricia Naples.
John worked for Mahoning National Bank as a Systems Analyst until he retired. He was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Mary Church.
John enjoyed the outdoors going hunting and fishing. He had coached Little League baseball for several years. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather John’s greatest joy was the time he spent with his family.
In addition to his wife, John is survived by his children, Anthony Williams of Raleigh, NC, Chris Williams (Marcy) and Mark Williams (Ronalynn) all of New Castle, two grandchildren, Josh and Tyler and one great-grandchild, Gianna.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by two sisters, Lillian Manos and Marie Squeglia and one brother, Steven Williams.
A Private Graveside Service will be held for the family at St. Mary Cemetery. Deacon John Carran of Holy Spirit Parish will officiate. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 South Mill St.
Eternal rest grant unto John, O Lord and may perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
