Jennifer A. Dantico, 73, a former lifelong residence of New Castle who moved to Tennessee to be with her son and his family, passed away the afternoon of December 1, 2021 in Hendersonville, TN. Born on April 13, 1948 in New Castle, Jennifer was the daughter of the late John A. and Lena Retone Medure. On October 18, 1969, Jennifer married the love of her life, John Dantico. He preceded her in death on December 2, 2017.
Jennifer loved children and worked as a Teacher’s Aide for the New Castle Area School District for many years, before moving to Hendersonville. She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish. Jennifer enjoyed cooking, baking and doing crossword puzzles. A loving mother and grandmother, Jennifer’s greatest joy was the time she spent with her family, especially her grandsons.
Jennifer is survived by her son, John A. Dantico (Misty) of Hendersonville, TN, her sister, Johnna Panella (Edward) of Lock Haven, PA, two grandsons, Joseph Andrew Dantico and Anthony John Dantico, her nephew, Matthew Panella and niece, Alyssa Panella.
Visitation will be on Thursday, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 South Mill St. A procession will leave the funeral home on Friday at 9:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church. Burial will be in Parkside Cemetery.
Eternal rest grant unto Jennifer, O Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
