V. Jeanne Borrelli, 92, of Neshannock Township passed away the afternoon of March 23, 2023 at Jameson Care Center. Born in New Castle on December 31, 1930, Jeanne was the daughter of the late Luigi and Margaret Ezzo Tammelleo. On October 9, 1952, Jeanne married her beloved husband, Francis “Vaughn” Borrelli. He preceded her in death on May 3, 2015.
Jeanne was a 1951 graduate of Jameson School of Nursing. She then worked as a Registered Nurse at Jameson Hospital for the next forty years. Jeanne then worked as a nurse at the Youth Development Center for five years. She was a member of the Jameson Alumni Group and Jameson Retiree s. Jeanne also enjoyed traveling. Her heart was with her family and their Sunday dinners together. She enjoyed baking and cooking and was known for her homemade sauce and pizza.
Jeanne is survived by her children, Linda Newell (Reed), John Borrelli (Donna) both of New Castle, Diane Acchione (Chris Linder) of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, and her daughter-in-law, Eileen Borrelli of New Castle, seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Jeanne was preceded in death by her son, Vincent Borrelli, her brother, Vincent Tammelleo, and sister Catherine Winter.
Visitation will be on Tuesday 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road. A procession will leave the funeral home on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Camillus Church. Father Joseph McCaffrey, Pastor will officiate. Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
Eternal rest grant unto Jeanne, O Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
