James D. Karr, 72, of New Castle, passed away the morning of October 8, 2019 at UPMC Jameson Hospital. Born July 27, 1947 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he was the son of Clarence and Arlene (Krohn) Karr who preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Kathleen L. (Zarder) Karr, whom he married September 10, 1977.
Mr. Karr was employed with Universal Rundle until his retirement. He enjoyed classical music and working on computers. He will be missed by his family and his loving dog. James was a member of Mary Mother of Hope, Holy Spirit Parish.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Darleen Karr of Youngstown, Ohio and her fiance’ Steven Hendricks; one son, Scott Karr of Racine, Wisconsin; and four grandchildren, Charles Fair, Katherine Guminski, Michael Guminski and Trevor Hendricks.
There will be a one hour visitation on Tuesday, October 15, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. followed immediately by a Blessing Service at 7:00 at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. The Rev. Joseph McCaffrey will officiate.
