Irma Domenick

July 23, 1928 to May 18, 2020

Irma Domenick, 91, of New Castle, passed away the morning of May 18, 2020 at her residence. Born on July 23, 1928 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Tony (Scipioni) and Marietta Bucci Schepp. On June 14, 1952, Irma married her beloved husband, Albert P. Domenick. He preceded her in death on March 9, 1990.

In the early years, Irma had worked for Bell Telephone as a telephone operator. She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Joseph the Worker Site. In her early years, Irma also loved to dance. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking and watching the cooking channels. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother her favorite hobby was her grandchildren. She took great joy in spending time with all of her family.

Irma is survived by her two children, Linda Rotz and her husband, Gerald, David A. Domenick and his wife, Rosa, all of New Castle, her brother, Ralph Schepp of Texas, four sisters, Flora Volpe, Jean Clause, Viola Zingaro, and Edith Fazzone all of New Castle, six grandchildren, Andrea Budai (Jay), Melissa Letera (Aaron), Gerald Rotz, II and fiancé, Constance Briggs, David Domenick, Jr. (Jaclene), Brandon Domenick and Angelina Domenick, four great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Budai, Isabella Budai, Madison Letera, and Maci Letera.

In addition to her parents and husband, Irma was preceded in death by her brother, Tony Schepp.

Due to the current health crisis within our community, a Private Blessing Service for the family will be held at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 South Mill St. Father Brendan Dawson will officiate. Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.

Lord God, you are attentive to the voice of our pleading. Give Irma eternal rest, O Lord, and may your light shine on her forever. Let us find in your Son comfort in our sadness, certainty in our doubt, and courage to live through this hour. Make our faith strong through Christ our Lord.  Amen.
