Herbert Regan, 81, of New Wilmington passed away on Dec. 11, 2020, at UPMC Jameson Hospital. Born on Sept. 25, 1939, in New Castle, he was the son of the late William Regan Sr. and Pearl Smock Regan. On July 12, 1958, Herbert married his beloved wife, the former Patricia Butera. She preceded him in death on April 16, 2019.
Herbert had worked for Keystone Metal Welder. He later worked for Challenges. He was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Joseph the Worker site. Herbert enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and going camping. He also enjoyed traveling to different places. A loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Herbert's greatest joy was the time he spent with family.
Herbert is survived by his four children, Herbert Regan, Patrick Regan and Bonnie (Bruce) Wigton, all of New Castle, and Tina Frum of Columbiana, Ohio; his brother, William of New Castle; his sister, Betty Kumrow of West Pittsburg; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, Herbert was preceded in death by one daughter, Velma Nocera; and one sister, Donna Jean Kobalka.
Due to the current health crisis in our community, a memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Mill St.
