Harry Buly, age 86, of Neshannock Twp., passed away the early morning of May 9, 2022, at UPMC Jameson Hospital. Born June 15, 1935, in New Castle, he was the son of the late Mitro and Maria (Yarema) Buly. On May 3, 1969, he married his beloved wife of 49 years, MaryAnn (Verhosek) Buly, and began the legacy of The Harry Buly Family. She preceded him in death on Aug. 22, 2018.
Harry was the youngest of six children born to Ukrainian immigrant parents. He was born and raised in New Castle area, served in the United States Air Force, attended college for two years, and then decided to join his brother in the plumbing industry.
In addition to loving his wife and children, Harry was also a lover of building, creating, or remodeling anything he, his family, or friends needed. He created a life where anyone felt comfortable asking him for his help. He went above and beyond to do whatever he could to give people the best possible solution without expecting anything in return. Harry Buly was a man of many talents, however, the one he will be most remembered for is his incredible gift of demonstrative love.
Harry is survived by three daughters, Deborah Mann, Lisa (Jim) Nelson, Bridget (Craig) Miller; two sons, John (Beth) Buly and Matthew (Lauri) Buly; grandchildren, Heather, Brandon, Joshua, Bradley and Beth, Tyler, Nicholas and Grace, Noah, Harrison, Lillian, Brooks and Brinn; and great grandchildren, Brandon, Cody, Keith, Hailey, Chesney, Gannon, and Paislee.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 12th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. On Friday, May 13th, a funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:00 am for a Mass of Christian Burial, starting at 10:30 AM, at St. Camillus Church – Holy Spirit Parish, 314 W. Englewood Ave., New Castle, where Father Brendon Dawson will be officiating. Burial will be at St. James Cemetery, alongside his wife.
Eternal rest grant unto Harry, O Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
