George had worked for the Crane Company. He then worked for Bruce & Merilees.
George was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Joseph the Worker Site. He served his country as a member of the United States Army.
George enjoyed going fishing. He was an avid Pittsburgh Pirate fan. A loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, George was very much a family man. Family was what mattered the most to him.
George is survived by his children, George Plaufcan, Jr. of New Castle, Julie DiVitto (John) of North Canton, Ohio, Andrea Plaufcan (Norman Panella) of New Castle, his brother, John Plaufcan of Akron, Ohio, three sisters, Kathy Plaufcan of Butler, Alberta Roundtree of New Castle, Delores Roesen of Butler, five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
In addition to his parents and wife, George was preceded in death by his brother, Bob Klenotic.
A private Blessing Service will be held at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 South Mill St.
Deacon Matthew Hawkins will officiate.
