Gena Clause, 99, of Delaware Road in Fredonia, PA, formerly of New Castle, died Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at Greystone Estates in Fredonia, PA. She was born in Brent, PA on March 23, 1924, the daughter of the late Fortunato and Mary (Bucci) Schepp. She was married to the late Henry S. Clause, who died on February 14, 1972.
Mrs. Clause worked for Shenango China as a detailer for a number of years and the New Castle News in inserts. A seamstress, she enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking, and making homemade sauce. Her grandchildren were the love of her life.
She is survived by one son, Randy D. Clause and his wife, Cindy, of New Castle; four grandchildren, Randy S. Clause and his wife, Mandy; James T. Clause; Brian A. Clause and his wife, Rachel; and Olivia E. Clause; four great-grandchildren, Lorenzo, Milania, Ella, and Emma, and one sister, Edith Fazzone of New Castle.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Schepp and Anthony Schepp, and three sisters, Flora Volpe, Irma Domenick, and Viola Zingaro.
Visitation will be held Sunday, November 12, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. A Blessing Service will be celebrated Sunday, November 12, 2023 at 4:00 pm at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Deacon John Carran of Holy Spirit Parish will officiate. Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
Eternal rest grant unto Gena, O Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
