Gary T. Rand, 64, of New Castle passed away on April 20, 2023 at UPMC Jameson. Born in New Castle on December 31, 1958, Gary was the son of the late Robert Rand, Sr. and Victoria Zornich Rand. On September 26, 1981, Gary married his beloved wife, the former Rochelle Mangino. She survives at home.
Gary worked as a press operator at North American Forgemasters. He was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus site. Gary was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler Fan. He also served as Vice President of the Dukes Club. A loving husband, father and grandfather Gary had a Heart of Gold. His greatest joy was the time he spent with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Gary is survived by his son, Matthew Rand (Andrea) of New Castle, his brother, Robert Rand, Jr. (Kim), two sisters, Sharon Rand, and Roberta Pannutti (James) all of New Castle and one grandson, Matthew.
In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his son, Gary L. Rand.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 25th, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 S. Mill St. A Blessing Service will be held on Tuesday at the funeral home at 7:00 p.m. Deacon John Carran of Holy Spirit Parish will officiate. Burial will be in Parkside Cemetery.
Eternal rest grant unto Gary, O Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
