Governed by Covid-19 concerns, plans for Mardi Gras events including a cash raffle, an online public silent auction, and a festive drive through dinner were realized to the delight of the organizers. In addition, the culinary expertise of the parish was put to work planning and producing excellent fish dinners on Ash Wednesday and the Fridays of Lent in February extending into March. Lent was well on its way.

Fish dinners had a bumpy start while parishioners and public got used to having to preorder on Tuesday for fish dinners on Friday. All in all, the public still responded to their desire for good, tasty fish dinners from St. James the Apostle's kitchen aswell as that of St. Vincent de Paul's site. We will have to wait and see how the rest plays out in March. Easter is not until April 4.
