Eric Torgersen, Sr. 73, of Shenango Township, passed away on December 10, 2021 at his residence. Born in Utica, NY on August 22, 1948, Eric was the son of the late Arnt O. and Mary E. Vail Torgersen. Surviving at home is his loving and devoted wife of over forty eight years, the former Arlene Zientara.
Eric had worked as the chief financial officer in the healthcare industry. In earlier years, Eric was a long time member of the Boy Scouts and enjoyed hiking and camping.
In addition to his wife, Eric is survived by his son, Eric Torgersen, Jr. and his wife, Jennifer, his sister, Elaine McManus and several nieces and nephews.
A private service, conducted by Fr. Rick Thompson of Holy Spirit Parish, will be held at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 3000 Wilmington Rd.
Eternal rest grant unto Eric, O Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
