Edward R. Papa, 81, of West Pittsburg passed away the morning of August 4, 2021 at UPMC Jameson. Born on February 6, 1940 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Lewis and Theresa Tonsetic Papa.
Ed was a member of Holy Spirit Parish. He enjoyed the outdoors, going hunting and fishing. A loving father and grandfather, Ed’s greatest joy was the time he spent with his family.
Ed is survived by his wife, Dorothy of West Pittsburg, two children, Cathy Rademacher (John) of Greenville, NC, David Papa (Patricia) of New Castle, his sister, Linda Columbus of New Castle and three grandchildren, Shane Rademacher, Cody Papa and Nicholas Papa.
In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by two brothers, John L. Papa, Sr. and Victor Papa, Sr.
A private Viewing and Blessing Service will be held for the family at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 South Mill St. Dr. Joseph Ross of Holy Spirit Parish officiated at the Blessing Service.
Give Edward eternal rest, O Lord, and may your light shine on him forever. Let us find in your Son comfort for our sadness, certainty in our doubt, and courage to live through this hour. Make our faith strong through Christ our Lord. Amen.
