Edward Pagley, 68, passed away the evening of October 4, 2022 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital. Born on September 25, 1954 in New Castle, Eddie was the son of the late James Pagley, Sr. and Viola Scopio Pagley. On September 2, 1978 Eddie married his beloved wife, the former Denise L. Scrim. She survives at home.
Eddie retired from UPS after thirty- three years of employment. He owned and operated The Cedars Bar and Grille for the past fourteen years. He was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus site. Eddie was an avid golfer. A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, Eddie’s greatest joy was the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and attending all their activities and sporting events.
In addition to his wife, Eddie is survived by his children, Edward J. Pagley (Andrea) of New Castle; Michael A. Pagley (Chelsea) of San Jose, CA; Christopher M. Pagley and fiancé, Ashley Steines; and his brother, James Pagley, Jr. and fiancé, Terri Cialella, all of New Castle; his sister, Faith Perrotta of New Castle, four grandchildren, Luca, Aria, Christopher, and Dominick and his niece, Robyn Roman.In addition to his parents, Eddie was preceded in death by his sister, Roseann Roman.
Visitation will be on Monday 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 S. Mill St. A procession will leave the funeral home at 1:15 p.m. on Monday for a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 p.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church. Father Joseph McCaffrey, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Parkside Cemetery.
Eternal rest grant unto Eddie, O Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
