Donatina “Dina” Circelli, 87, of Neshannock Township passed away the afternoon of August 17, 2023 at UPMC Jameson Hospital. Born July 10, 1936 in San Bartolomeo, Galdo, Italy, Dina was the daughter of the late Raffaele and Lucia D’Andrea Colatruglio. On November 12, 1956, Dina married her beloved husband, Pasquale Circelli. He preceded her in death on July 29, 2009.
Dina worked for Airway Industries for forty-three years as a luggage handler. She was very devoted to her faith as a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus site. She was known as a wonderful cook who enjoyed cooking. She also enjoyed crocheting and tending to her garden. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Dina’s greatest joy was spending time and being surrounded by her family.
Dina is survived by her children, Patti Medure (Anthony) of New Castle, PA and Vince Circelli (Pamela) of Lowellville, OH; two grandchildren, Patsy Circelli (Sarah) and Vincent Circelli, two step-grandchildren, Anthony Medure (Kelly) and Michael Medure; and three great grandchildren, Maria, Dominic and Carmela.
In addition to her parents and husband, Dina was preceded in death by three sisters, Pasqualina Reino, Maria Circelli, and Giovannina Mediati and one brother, Pietrangelo Colatruglio.
Visitation will be on Sunday 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 S. Mill St. A procession will leave the funeral home on Monday at 12:00 pm for a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church. Father Joseph McCaffrey will officiate. Entombment will be in Parkside Mausoleum.
Eternal rest grant unto Donatina, O Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
